New Roscommon supermarket to open today creating up to 20 jobs

A new supermarket is opening in Roscommon town today, creating 20 jobs.

Food retailer Iceland is based in an 11,500-square-foot building in the Roscommon Retail Park in the Circular Road and is to be open seven days a week.

It brings to 24 the number of stores the chain has in Ireland.

Local auctioneer P Burke, of Sherry Fitzgerald, negotiated the lease of the property – he says the new supermarket is a major boost to Roscommon town.
