New figures show drop in those using Shannonside homeless services

The number of people who accessed homeless services in Roscommon doubled in October compared to figures for September.

According to the Department of Housing, 6 people presented as homeless to Roscommon County Council in October, up from three the previous month.

Longford saw a drop of two in its homeless figures from seven to five, while one person accessed homeless services in Leitrim in October.


Year on year, there was a reduction of four people on the homeless lists in the Shannonside region, with 13 people accessing local services in October of 2017, compared to just nine in the same month this year.
