Multi-cultural celebrations in Roscommon this Sunday

Members of various ethnic groups living in Roscommon are being invited to a special cultural event in Gleeson’s Townhouse this Sunday.

All people who would like to attend are being encouraged to bring along traditional food from their native home and wear traditional dress where possible.

It’s expected that up to 15 different nationalities living in and around Roscommon town will be attending on Sunday afternoon between 2 and 4 o’ clock to enjoy food, traditional music, and dance.

Garda Katie Carty who’s the Ethnic Liaison Officer with Roscommon gardai says last year’s inaugural event was a great success and it encourages people to communicate with their local police force.
