Manager of Roscommon credit unions hoping they can be part of financial solution after coronavirus

The manager of a Roscommon credit unions says the movement is hoping to be part of the financial solution to coming through the recession caused by coronavirus.

Joe Currid of Boyle Credit Union says as well as seeking relief from payments, many people are putting aside more money into savings at this time.

More and more work is being done online and while people can go to their local credit union, it’s limited in number.

Joe says that as businesses return, they will be offering lines of credit but he says the hope is that the movement is included in the government’s overall financial solution:
