Lough Key Forest Park wins Gold award for best public park nationwide

There are celebrations in Boyle this week after the Lough Key Forest and Activity Park won another major award.

The park took gold in the annual All Ireland Community and Council Awards which were held in Dublin at the weekend.

The awards are aimed at highlighting and recognising communities and councils who work together on projects or campaigns in their local areas.

Lough Key park was nominated for the award by local Fianna Fail councillor in Boyle John Cummins and took the Gold Medal for Best Public park nationwide.

Councillor Cummins says he’s delighted to see the park recognition it deserves, and he’s looking forward to even more developments there in the not too distant future.
