Roscommon town retailer Carmel Gavin says she has no choice but to close her doors tomorrow evening like everyone else.

The owner of the Curtain Centre in Roscommon town says local people have been hugely supportive since the shop re-opened after the first lockdown.

In Longford Aine Farrell from Aines boutique says they have a large amount of stock in at this time of year to cater for the holiday season.

She says a lot of their business is on a one-to-one basis and they have tried to keep that going via their online site when they had to close their doors earlier this year.

The Chamber of Commerce in Longford is urging everyone to remember to support and buy local during the coming weeks.

Niamh Donlon says it is up to local people to play their part in keeping businesses alive.

Des Cullen who's principal of Moyne Community School says everyone has been putting a huge effort in to keep things as safe as possible and they'll continue to do that during Level 5.

With regard to concerns that some people might have about travelling on school buses, the Moyne principal says they haven't seen any evidence of problems there.
