The most senior Garda in County Leitrim is due to retire from his role tomorrow.
Carrick-on-Shannon based Superintendent Kevin English has confirmed that he will be leaving the force on July 1st after 38 years of service in An Garda Siochana.
The process of appointing a replacement for the former Donegal Superintendent will be handled by the Policing Authority with Inspector Carla Curry acting as Superintendent until the role can be filled on a permanent basis.
