Polls have closed in the local and European elections as well as the divorce referendum in the Shannonside region.
Turnout increased significantly after 6pm with one box in Drumshanbo reporting a turnout of over 75%.
Staying with Leitrim and in Carrick-on-Shannon the turnout out reached 60% while in Fenagh the turnout was on average 60% too.
One box in Ballinamore reported a 55% turnout while Mohill’s average also came in between 55% and 60%
In Longford, 60% was recorded in Kenagh booth one while 52% was recorded at one Ballymahon polling station.
Stonepark just outside Longford town recorded a 60% turnout while Cullyfad, where up to 700 voters were eligible to cast their vote, returned almost 70% of a turnout and the average in Granard was 64%.
Kilahsee was at 54% while the average in Edgeworthstown was 55%
In Roscommon, the voter turnout in Roscommon was 61%.
In Athlone it was 63% and in Boyle it was reported at 54% and Castlerea it was averaged at 62%.
