About seventy people have gathered outside a Castlerea health facility this morning to protest against its closure.
The HSE announced last week the Rosalie unit in Áras Naomh Chaolain would close as a psychiatric unit over the next six to nine months.
The first of the 12 residents was due to be moved this morning and to coincide with that, a demonstration was held outside.
But in the past half an hour, Councillor Paschal Fitzmaurice, the organiser, has told the crowd that the patient departure had been put off until at least the afternoon.
