Farmers in the Shannonside/Northern Sound region are being urged to ask for help if they are suffering due to the fodder crisis.
Teagasc have launched a new national phone number for farmers who need help in accessing the fodder supplies which are being imported by the government.
The IFA is asking anyone who may be in difficulty to contact their local branch chairman, while they also feel the government needs to urgently introduce a meal ticket for those in difficulty due to the ongoing bad weather conditions.
