Huge increase in number of Roscommon farmers selling land

More farmers than ever last year in Roscommon decided to sell up their agricultural land according to a new survey by the Farmers’ Journal.

A new report published today reveals that over 4,000 acres were offered to the market last year, a 15% rise on figures for 2017.

The report also reveals that Leitrim land prices went up 14% last year, which the authors believe may be connected to large sales of land and the increase of forestry in the county.
