HSE hopes to make progress on design team for new unit at Roscommon’s Sacred Heart this month

The HSE hopes to make significant progress this month on confirming a design team for a 50-bed extension at the Sacred Heart hospital in Roscommon.

A recent meeting of the regional health forum received a response about the development after a question from Councillor Tony ward.

Joe Hoare, Assistant National Director of Estates (West) confirmed that tenders to seek a design team for the project are still expected to be appointed later this month, and the delay to finalising a team for the project has been a result of new frameworks in terms of such capital investment projects.

It’s hoped that these design frameworks for the project will be ready by the middle of this month after which the tender is likely to be published in order for the project to move to the next stage.
