Households in the region are encouraged to use new energy saving kits

Residents in Roscommon and Leitrim are being encouraged to take advantage of new home energy saving kits which are available at their local libraries.

The kits which are already available in Dublin City have been funded by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland and will be available free of charge to help homeowners managing their energy use.

The six tools in the kit can help identify common problems such as lack of insulation, poor ventilation and appliances that are not running at an energy efficient level.
