A group of Roscommon cyclists are beginning a 200km cycle tomorrow to raise funds and awareness for Alzheimer’s.
The 20 cyclists, who range from 17 to 70 years of age are from Elphin Windmill Wheelers, will travel to all the Western Alzheimer’s locations in Roscommon, Galway and Mayo.
They will leave from the respite centre in Four Mile House in Roscommon at 9am tomorrow and travel over to Maryfield, in Athenry, Co Galway, and then on to Marian House in Ballindine, Co Mayo, before returning to Elphin, Roscommon.
The cycle, is in preparation for the final leg of their Elphin to Gibraltar cycle, which will see them cycle from Madrid to Gibraltar in August.
