Tributes are being paid to the well-known Castlerea businessman who has died.
John Tully ran a pharmacy in the west Roscommon town for many years until his sudden death yesterday at the age of 72.
He was also widely respected for his community work, including with the Castlerea Rose Festival, Mayo/Roscommon Hospice and Castlerea Town Trust.
Survived by his wife, Maura, and four children, Mr Tully’s funeral Mass will take place in St Patrick’s church in Castlerea on Wednesday at 11am, with burial afterwards in St Joseph’s cemetery.
Local community activist Danny Burke says he will be sorely missed.
