Full water supply restored in Ballinlough-Loughglynn

Irish Water has confirmed that full supply has been restored to customers in the Ballinlough-Loughglynn area folwing Strom Ophelia.

Customers in west Roscommon had been forced to use water tankers supplied by Mayo County Council last night after electricity to the local water treatment plant had failed.

Power was restored by mid-afternoon on Tuesday but the reservoir required refilling and water tankers were put in place until the plant returned to full operation.


The water tankers have now been stood down and Irish water is thanking customers as well as Roscommon and Mayo councils along with the ESB for heir help over the last 48 hours.
