Free microchipping to be offered to 200 dogs in Roscommon

A free microchipping event will be held by Roscommon county council tomorrow.

200 dogs will be offered free microchips at the civil defence building in Roscommon town.

Dog owners need to book an appointment and bring their current dog licence and proof of address to avail of the service.

Liam Bergin Director of planning and environment told Let’s Talk that micro chipping is important in promoting the health and welfare of animals as it can help return lost or stolen pets.
