First respondent organisations in Shannonside Region will receive €109,000 in funding

First Responder Organisations in the Shannonside region will receive over €109,000 in funding from the Clár Programme.

In Longford, the Community Cardiac First Responders will receive €13,000 that will go towards defibrillators and equipment.

The Lough Ree Sub Aqua will receive €6,880 that will fund a boat and a trailer for the Ballyleague/Lanesboro club.

Sligo/Leitrim Mountain Rescue will receive €42,500, which will go towards the replace of a transport vehicle for the rescue crew.

Meanwhile €46,850 will go towards Roscommon Sub Aqua that will fund a van and boat.

Nationally, it was announced €576,000 under the CLÁR will be shared between 30 first responded organisations that will pay for training materials, vital vehicles and trailers and defibrillators.
