Roscommon LEADER Partnership and Longford Community Resources are working on integrating and supporting existing community resources in an effort to make sure there are no gaps in services for vulnerable people during the coronavirus crisis.
Management and staff of both agencies are taking what they say is a proactive approach to reassure communities that they are there to help.
The agencies are ramping up their friendly call service which makes sure that older people have someone to talk to during the coming weeks.
They are also helping people to fill claim forms for Covid-19 and providing information to people who may have lost their jobs as a result of the pandemic.
