Coroner describes Tunisian police response to terror attack ‘shambolic’

A coroner’s described the response from Tunisian police, following a deadly terror attack in 2015, as “at best shambolic, at worst cowardly”.

The inquests are concluding into the deaths of 30 British people, killed by a gunman in Sousse.

Athlone couple Larry and Martina Hayes also lost their lives in the incident.

Families’ lawyers say the travel advice should have highlighted security risks.

But Sky’s Joe Tidy says the coroner’s rejecting calls for him to consider “neglect” as a factor in their deaths.
