Claire Kerrane admits her win in Roscommon-Galway was unexpected

Claire Kerrane, newly elected TD in the Roscommon-Galway constituency, has said expressed her surprise at the result.

Fianna Fáil candidate and outgoing TD Eugene Murphy was also up for the last seat, but Sinn Féin’s Claire won out with a total vote of 10,545.

She has joined independents Michael Fitzmaurice and Denis Naughten as the deputies for the region.
