The chairman of Roscommon Leader Partnership is welcoming the approval of the National Broandband Plan.
This week the government signed off on a deal that will see high-speed broadband brought to 540,000 homes, farms and businesses over the next 25 years.
It’ll cost up to €3 billion.
Opposition parties have criticised the plan, saying ESB infrastructure should have been used to deliver the service.
But Micheál Frain says the plan is a major boost to rural Ireland.
