Castlerea is Ireland’s cheapest Eircode in which to buy property

The rate of increase in property prices is continuing to slow.

They rose by 2 percent in the year to June, compared to 2.6 percent in May.

The lowest median price for a home was €101,250 in Leitrim while in Roscommon it was €110,000 and in Longford it was €105,000.

The Border region was the least expensive region in the year to April 2019, with a mean price of €140,918.

Longford (in the Midland region) was the least expensive county, with a mean price of €118,688.

The least expensive Eircode area over the last 12 months was F45 ‘Castlerea’, with a mean price of €86,268

In Dublin, house prices were unchanged in the twelve months to June while apartments rose by zero point one percent.

Outside the capital, house prices were up 3.6 percent and apartments 6.1 percent.
