Beef Plan Chairman refuses to comment on language used by Michael Fitzmaurice at recent protest

The Chairman of the Beef Plan movement is refusing to be drawn on controversy around language used by Deputy Michael Fitzmaurice at their protest outside the Dail on Wednesday.

A video posted online showed Deputy Fitzmaurice use an expletive during a passionate speech to the protestors.

Some people have complained that the language was unbecoming to a public representative and wasn’t necessary.

Speaking on the Joe Finnegan show this morning, David Whelehan said Michael Fitzmaurice had made a passionate speech in the Dail on their behalf and he had then been speaking at the public protest.
