Ballaghaderreen cigar factory to be auctioned off today

The cigar factory in Ballaghaderreen is set to be auctioned today, with a reserve price of €550,000 to €600,000.

The Exclusive Cigar Manufacturing Ireland plant is in the process of closing, with the loss of 38 jobs, after being in operation since 1978.

Connaughton Auctioneers will put it under the hammer in Durkin’s, Ballaghaderreen, at 4pm today.

A 47,000-square-foot property on the Charlestown Road, auctioneer Ivan Connaughton is confident it’ll sell.
