The wait is almost over for approximately 1,500 leaving certificate students in the Shannonside region.
Results of the state exam will be available later this morning at exam centres across Roscommon Longford and Leitrim, with online results available from midday.
2017 saw a new grading system introduced for all leaving cert subjects, and for Shannonside students, they will be the first to get results under the new eight grades, rather than the traditional 14 grades used since 1992.
A total of 553 teenagers in Longford sat the leaving cert back in June, with 287 boys and 266 girls picking up their results this morning.
In Roscommon, 493 anxious students will opening envelopes or logging on this morning to discover their results, with 247 boys and 246 girls having sat various exams this summer.
The fewest pupils in the country took their Leaving cert in Leitrim, with a total of 219 girls and 247 boys making up a total of just 466 secondary school pupils who sat the state exam in June.
24 people in Roscommon will also receive leaving cert applied results this morning, with schools allowed hand out results from 9am and online results available from midday.
