No companies in the Shannonside region have been declared insolvent so far this year according to a new report.
Figures compiled by CRIF-Vison net show that four companies in total across the region applied for insolvency in all of 2018 – three in Longford and one in Roscommon. So far this year Longford and Leitrim has seen a slight increase in the number of new companies set up in the region
In terms of new companies, Roscommon, Longford and Leitrim are the 24th, 25th and 26th most popular location for start-ups in the Republic of Ireland. Roscommon experienced a slight quarter on quarter drop in company start-ups, down 5%, from 39 to 37. However Longford saw a 18.5% increase, growing from 27 to 32 and Leitrim saw a 53% jump in new companies, from 17 to 26 in quarter One this year compared to the first three months of last year.
