New figures show 182 people presented as homeless to Longford County Council last year.
But many of these were not offered any services by the local authority.
Details released under the Freedom of Information Act show 99 adults presented as a homeless to the council in 2018 – they also had 83 dependent children.
Of the total number of presentations, 34 were families.
Twenty-four of the presentations, including some with dependent children, were offered accommodation in hostels and B&Bs.
But the remainder were not offered any services.
The council spent a total of €313,000 on homeless services last year.
