St Patrick’s Day celebrations take place right across the Shannonside/Northern Sound region today.
Preparations by community groups, schools and commercial business are being finalised as towns and villages put their best green foot forward.
The community of Aughavas is first with their celebrations today beginning at 12:30 this afternoon, proceedings in Carrick-on-Shannon follow shortly afterwards at 12:45pm.
Longford and Glenamaddy are next with start times of 1pm.
There are a number of road closures in and around Longford town from half past 11 this morning.
Parades in Elphin, Feenagh and Keshcarrigan get underway at 2pm, with Ballaghadereen following a half hour later at 2:30pm.
Meanwhile, Mohill parade will begin at 4pm.
