Staff in St Christopher’s Service in Longford are to see a restoration of pay removed under the FEMPI legislation.
Councillor Michael Carrigy received the confirmation following a meeting with Health Minister Simon Harris.
Pay restoration is now been processed with an annual pay increase of up to €1,000 in 2019.
Any outstanding balance will be paid in two equal amounts in 2020 and 2021.
Councillor Carrigy says while it’s to be welcomed, it’s just a step in the overall campaign involving all parties effected by the pay cuts. He says staff deserve to receive their full pay entitlements, in line with HSE staff.
