Thousands of students across the country are joining protests calling for more action on climate change.
It’s part of worldwide effort to get governments and businesses to improve their efforts.
A protest is currently underway in Longford with students marching from the market Square to the County Council offices while Athlone’s protest gets underway at the Civic centre from 3pm.
Carrick-on-Shannon’s climate walk will meet at 1.30pm at the School sports hall while students in Roscommon were involved in a march earlier this morning.
