Search continues in Lanesborough for lucky Lotto winner

There’s still no word so far on who the lucky Lotto winner after a ticket sold in Lanesborough at the weekend won almost a quarter of a million euro.

The ticket bought in O’ Brien’s Corner House in Lanesboro on last Saturday was a €6 euro quick-pick, and it fell just one number short of sharing the Lotto jackpot of over €4 million euro.

The player scooped a total of €238,673 euro and speculation has been rife in the area since the news broke at the weekend.

Joe O’ Brien says while they do get passing trade, he’s confident the winning ticket holder is very likely local, although no one has come forward so far.
