2018 was a mixed year for house prices around the country, according to the Irish Independent.
The paper, which published its annual list of property prices, shows an increase across the Shannonside region.
In Longford, property prices have increased by 16%, with the average home costing €210,000.
A semi-detached house in town will cost €110,000.
Property prices in Roscommon have increased by 7% since last year, and the average price of a home is €160,000.
A four-bedroom bungalow in the town will cost €185,000 – up €10,000 from last year.
In Leitrim, house prices have increased by 8%, with the average house price €135,000, however, it is forecast to go up another 2% this year.
A one-bedroom apartment will cost €70,000 – up €5,000 from last year.
