Longford Gardai are appealing for witnesses after petrol bombs were thrown at a house in the early hours of this morning.
The incident took place at approximately 3.20am at a premises in Dun Darrach on the Dublin Road.
Both a caravan and a car were damaged in the incident.
However, nobody in the vicinity was reported as injured and the scene is being preserved for a technical examination.
The incident comes in the wake of a shooting at Annally Gardens in Longford Town on Wednesday night.
Shots were reportedly fired at approximately 9pm and nobody was injured and a number of Garda units attended the scene.
Investigations are ongoing for both incidents and Gardai are appealing for witnesses.
