New York judge rejects Dublin man’s attempt to have assault case thrown out

A 25-year-old man, who has been charged in connection with the death of a Longford man in New York last year has been remanded on bail until July.

Steven O ‘Brien appeared in court yesterday charged with an assault on Danny McGee, who died following an incident on Thanksgiving last year outside a bar in Queens.

The 21-year-old died following the alleged incident and the Dubliner was subsequently charged with assault.


A judge yesterday dismissed an appeal from the 25-year-old defence team to have the case thrown out and he was remanded on continuing bail to July 9th.
