National Heritage week concludes today, with a number of activities across the Shannonside region.
In Longford, a walking tour in Ardagh kicks off at 2pm today, while a tour of St. John’s Rectory in Edgeworthstown commences at three.
In Roscommon, the public will get the chance to visit an 18th century restored windmill in Elphin at 12pm or take part in the Vintage and Heritage Day on the grounds of Strokestown Park House.
Meanwhile, people in Castlecoote can take a look at the county’s past in the Irish Workshouse Centre.
And finally, in County Leitrm, guided tours of Fenagh Abbey will continue at 2pm today, as well a look back at the old shops in Drumahair at 2pm.
Leitrim’s art heritage will also be honored today with a Music Seisiún in Parke’s Castle at 2pm and a dive in to Carrick’s Literaty Heritage in St. George’s Church at 3pm.
