Upcoming gas works taking place in Ballymahon will be discussed at a meeting this afternoon.
The meeting will be a consultation between Gas Networks Ireland and Longford County Council, as well as town traders and anyone interested in finding out more.
People with concerns or questions are encouraged to attend the meeting, which will take place from 1 until 6pm at Cooney’s Hotel.
Traffic disruptions are expected, particularly when the gas pipeline is brought down the main street, but Longford Councillor Paul Ross believes the works are necessary to improve Ballymahon.
