Gardai in Longford say they’re following a definite line of enquiry following an assault outside a house on St Michael’s road at the weekend.
The incident happened shortly before 8 o clock on Sunday night when rocks were allegedly thrown at a house.
Two men in the house came outside and were confronted by a group of youths, one of whom had a glass bottle.
One of the men received injuries to his leg during a fracas outside the house and he was brought to hospital for treatment and discharged as short time later.
It’s understood no one has been arrested as a result of the incident, but gardai are following a definite line in their investigations.
