Longford’s newest brewery granted licence

Longford’s newest brewery has just been granted its’ licence to start beer production.

The Wide Street Brewery at Creevaghbeg in Ballymahon is hoping to be fully up and running within the next month.

It’s the country’s first dedicated brewery to use a specialised style of brewing using alternative yeast strains.


Co-founder of the brewery and Ballymanon native, Sean Colohan, says they hope to employ two additional people over the next three years together with some part-time staff at busier times.
