The owners of Longford Tool and Plastic Industries say a deal which has seen the company acquired by US firm Technimark will help the business in Longford town grow.
The Longford company was established over 50 years ago in the county town and makes injection moulded products for the medical device, pharmaceutical, and consumer product sectors.
It also has a facility in the Czech Republic.
The US company Tenchnimark is a global manufacturer of custom rigid plastic packaging and components.
The combined company will have 13 facilities and almost four and a half thousand employees worldwide.
