A Longford pre-school has been praised for the standard of education and care it gives to children in a new departmental report.
Little Angels on the Battery Road in Longford was praised for the quality of its support to children’s learning and development.
This Early Years Education Focused Inspection took place last June and inspectors examined two of the rooms available on the day.
18 children were present on the day and two practitioners between both areas, with inspectors impressed by all aspects of the facility which was established eight years ago.
The centre was praised for its warm atmosphere and described a setting where “very secure relationships with children are nurtured.”
Practitioners were also praised for the quality of support for children’s learning and development and that children also demonstrate enjoyment and engagement in their learning
Management and leadership was also praised, with newsletters now emailed directly to parents after a survey to elicit parents views on the centre.
Some areas of improvement that inspectors did note were that practitioners would provide appropriate and meaningful feedback on the children’s efforts, and also towards sharing of information in relation to learning and educational experiences of children.
The four areas inspected were all deemed very good and the centre accepted the report without response.
