Longford native and former government adviser says Taoiseach needs to keep cool head on Brexit

Former government adviser and Longford native Mandy Johnston says she believes Leo Varadkar needs to be on his guard about support offered from other EU countries during the next phase of Brexit talks.

Mandy Johnston was adviser to Bertie Ahearn from 2002 until 2007, and was appointed adviser to the government on Northern Ireland specifically, after that.

The Longford native has recently taken up a top role working for the Irish offshore and gas industry, but she was asked on the Joe Finnegan show this morning what advice she might give Taoiseach Leo Varadkar after the latest developments on Brexit.
