Longford man appears in court charged with possession of alleged counterfeit money

A 21-year-old Longford man is due back in court next year after appearing in court today on charges relating to alleged possession of counterfeit money.

John Keenan with an address at 3 Cluain Ard, Ardnacassa, was arrested on last Thursday morning during a series of raids by the Criminal Assets Bureau.

He had been charged with having a total of €860 euro of alleged counterfeit money in his possession,and the court was told today it was his first appearence. Judge Bernadette Owens remanded him on continuing bail to appear in court again next January.
