A Longford GAA club hopes national broadband plan will attract players back to training

A north Longford GAA club is hoping being part of the national broadband plan will help attract more players back down to training.

Colmcille GAA is one of nine connection points in the county that will be prioritised next year announced as part the National Broadband plan.

Secretary of the club Pairic Kavanagh says the area has very poor wifi coverage at present, and providers are charging up to and over 60 euro a month for packages.

He says that they are hoping that the having greater access to wifi will make it more attractive for team members to come home and train at the weekend,
