Longford County Council considers planning for two dozen houses in the town

A former industrial site could be set to be transformed into a new housing development under plans lodged with Longford County Council.

SJS Co-ownership are proposing to develop twenty three new homes at an industrial site on Richmond Street in the town.

The houses will be a mix of two storey two bed homes and twenty one two bedroom terrace units.

The planning which was lodged with the Council last week, would also include the development of new pedestrian and vehicle access from Richmond Street and to Sandy Row/Annaly Park.

Submissions can be made by the fourth of December, and a decision is due in early January.
