Longford councillor named in court injunction says he had to act on his conscience

Longford Fine Gael councillor Paraic Brady says he’s more than a little disappointed to have been named as one of two defendants in a High Court injunction taken by C&D Foods this week to stop protestors outside their Edgeworthstown premises.

Speaking following a meeting of Longford council yesterday Councillor Brady says he feels he was picked out of the large group of people who’ve been protesting at the site possibly because of his position as a public representative.

The Fine Gael councillor said he believes his conscience left him with no option other than to take the action he had.
