Longford contingent in Cheltenham with Gold Cup hopes for “Presenting Percy”

A large crowd of Longford supporters are making their way to Cheltenham for tomorrows Gold Cup race which will feature the Philip Reynolds owned horse “Presenting Percy” as a strong contender.

The son of former Taoiseach Albert Reynolds says winning the race would be a fitting tribute to not only his father, but also his father-in-law who he says were great National Hunt racing fans.

Speaking today on the Joe Finnegan show Philip acknowledged the horse hasn’t been out much so far this year but he says he is in very good form.

He says there is a huge expectation on the horse’s performance given his previous Cheltenham runs and tomorrow is certainly no exception.
