The rescheduling of Longford town’s St Patricks Day Parade has been put on hold.
Longford Chamber of Commerce has decided it will now review the date on which the parade will be held after Mullinlaghta’s All Ireland semi-final match which takes place on February 16th.
The chamber had announced previously that the parade would take place on 18th March which falls on the Bank Holiday Monday.
This was to facilitate people who would want to travel to Dublin in the event Mullinlaghta win and secure a place in the final in Croke Park on March 17.
But chamber president Niamh Donlon says there’ll be a review following next week’s game and a final decision will then be made on what date the parade will be staged.
