Legan business loses hope of top-quality broadband

A business based at Legan, Co Longford, which was officially declared as being the worst area for broadband in the country two years ago, says it has lost all hope of getting a better service.

Avril Moran, who works at the family-owned garage, car and van sales company in the village, says it took her three days to send an email with pictures from her phone to the business recently, and the lack of service means they have to pay two different companies to operate their credit card machines.

Avril says talk of the National Broadband Plan being delayed again doesn’t mean anything to them because they have lost faith that the situation is ever going to be improved.
