The Junior Housing Minister will visit Drumlish this morning to mark the completion of 14 council houses.

In February, Damien English turned the sod on the project, part of the Millrace estate in the Longford town.

It’s one of the first large-scale housing initiatives developed by Longford County Council in many years.

It was completed in August, and the keys to each of the properties have been handed over to all the tenants.

Martin Mulleady is the cathaoirleach of the council.
